These baskets are crafted by an Amish family in northeastern Ohio. We visited Jacob in his workshop where he builds the frames by hand while the children help weave the sides. Almost every basket is signed on the bottom with the name and age of its maker and the year of its creation. The children learn their traditional Amish crafts by working side by side with their parents and older siblings.
